The House of Hades raid

The Season of Hades raid - one to five players, four modes that each add a mechanic, three seals in any order, then the Vault, where Hades waits for you twice. Key fragments, Favour of Olympus boons, the Chains of Kronos, and a purple Vault that pays a Panoply piece.

Three seals, one Vault

The House of Hades sits deep below the Halls. Take a party of one to five (::house), pick Easy, Medium, Hard or Elite, and fight down through the House:

  • The Cyclopes' Forge. Brontes, Steropes and Arges have to die together, or the furnace re-forges them.
  • The Garden of Persephone. Ascalaphus sees everything, and the pomegranate trees are your only cover.
  • The Abyss of Erebus. The Darkness douses the light-pylons, and anyone outside the light is swallowed.
  • The Vault. Hades, Keeper of the Vault, with his judgement seals and Obsidian Pillars. Then Hades Reborn. On Elite, Phlegethon guards the Pyre first.

Every party gets its own instance, and death sends you back to the checkpoint instead of ending the run.

Built to be learned

  • The mode ladder. Easy gives each boss one mechanic and no affixes. Every step up adds one mechanic per boss and one affix, and pays clearly more per minute.
  • Every mechanic has its own floor colour, and some fall from the sky onto their shadow, so a glance at the floor tells you what's coming.
  • Favour of Olympus. Play well (damage, clean dodges, good cover) and a god drops a giant boon medallion beside you: Zeus, Ares, Artemis, Hermes, Demeter, Poseidon or Athena, for 30 seconds each.
  • The Chains of Kronos. On Hard and Elite, three braziers round the Seal of Three smoulder, each with a riddle. Do what they ask and the Titan rises after Hades Reborn, and doubles your reward.

Rewards

The Vault pays Key fragments: 150 on Easy, 300 on Medium, 550 on Hard and 1,200 on Elite, plus 50% if you complete the run's bounty. 100 fragments make a Key of the House of Hades, which opens on the Box Opening spinner: Dracma hoards, bonds up to $500, boons, season boxes, and the three rare Panoply of Hades materials.

Every clear also rolls a purple Vault for each player, from 1 in 500 on Easy to 1 in 100 on Elite. Your chest glows violet, only you can see it, and it holds a Panoply piece outright.
