Client extensions - HD mode, tile markers and a RuneLite-style sidebar

A sidebar on the right edge of the client with toggles that persist between sessions - HD textures and draw distance, a real sky, distance fog, tile markers, target outlines and water reflections. Plus the GPU render path and a stack of interface work.

The sidebar

Real RuneLite cannot wrap this client - it is a 317-lineage engine, not the OSRS gamepack - so the features people actually miss were ported natively. The client now has a RuneLite-style sidebar: a 36px icon strip on the right edge of the window that expands into a panel of toggles. Every toggle is saved to your Olympus folder and comes back on the next login.

ExtensionWhat it does
HD ModeRoutes textured surfaces through a mip-mapped texture cache, raises draw distance to the horizon, and keeps the far-clip baked into the scene so nothing pops in on relog.
SkyboxA real gradient sky instead of a black void beyond the map edge.
Distance FogSeparate from HD Mode and off by default - fog starts far out so it softens the horizon without eating the view.
Tile MarkersShift-click a tile to mark it, pick a colour, and they persist per region - the classic use is boss arenas and skilling spots.
Target HighlightOutlines the footprint of whatever you are fighting, with an optional model silhouette so a boss behind a pillar is still readable.

GPU rendering and water

The GPU path is a visual upgrade layered over the software rasterizer, not a replacement for it: it handles the things a CPU rasteriser cannot do cheaply - lit water with reflections on the home lake and the coast, textured boss and spell models, and the HD texture pass. If your machine cannot start it, the client falls back to the software path silently. It is a client setting, so it can be turned off if you prefer the classic look.

Interfaces and definitions

The same pass laid out the client's custom interfaces - the Forge, the box-opening panel, the logs and the panels every later system hangs off - along with hundreds of item, NPC and object definitions for the content still being built behind the scenes.

Frame rate

The game logic runs at its normal cadence. The extensions change what is drawn, never how fast the world ticks.
