Relics of the Titanomachy - Archaeology's end-game
Eight relics for the ammunition slot, forged rung by rung from the relics you dig up on the Thessalian Plains, each rung adding damage, drop rate and crit until Zeus' Stormseal at +24% of everything with a Thunderbolt proc. Museum relics roll per find with real rarities, and the two legendaries are announced to the world.
Why dig
The twelve museum relics are also Forge materials for an eight-rung ladder of worn relics - the relic slot is the ammunition slot, and each recipe consumes the rung below so you always wear the best one you have made.
| Rung | Relic | Damage | Drop rate | Crit | Crit damage |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | +3% | +3% | +1% | +5% | |
| 4 | +12% | +12% | +4% | +20% | |
| 7 | +21% | +21% | +7% | +35% + Riptide | |
| 8 | +24% | +24% | +8% | +40% + Thunderbolt |
Riptide splashes half of one hit in ten to everything within two tiles. Thunderbolt lands a second, full-damage hit - that can crit - on one hit in ten.
How relics roll
Every dig-bed find rolls each relic individually, rarest first: commons 1 in 25, uncommons 1 in 60, rares 1 in 250, and the two legendaries -
Thunderbolt Reliquary and
Poseidon's Trident Shard - at 1 in 10,000. A legendary is announced server-wide when it comes up; the bench catalogues it once for your museum and hands it back, because each one is used exactly once, on Zeus' Stormseal and Poseidon's Abyssal Crest respectively.
Museum relics are stackable now - a Zeus forge wants 34 of them - and the milestones at 4 / 8 / 12 unique relics pay Skilling Points and a permanent +10 / 25 / 50% relic chance.
The Hunter half
Every rung needs Archaeology and Hunter: the 99-150 Hunter yields from Artemis' Reach - Labours creatures and god-impling loot - sit beside the museum relics on every recipe, sized at five to eight hours of hunting per relic. The two skills gate the ladder together.
A relic is never consumed as ammunition, but it occupies the slot - you will be shooting without arrows. Thrown and charged weapons are unaffected.
