Talents - nine trees, one mechanic each
The account-wide talent system on ::talents - three tabs, nine trees of nine talents, every tree built around one ability that its keystone grants and its capstone transforms. Points come from Talent Sigils, which come from achievements and the collection log, never from a shop.
The shape
::talents opens three tabs - Utility & DR, PvM and Skilling - and each holds three trees. Every tree is one mechanic: the tier-1 node is a keystone that gives you an ability you did not have, the seven nodes under it amplify that ability, and the capstone transforms it.
| Tab | Tree | What it is about |
|---|---|---|
| Skilling | Harvest | Gathering - double resources, faster swings, longer nodes |
| Artisan | Production - burn saves, extra bars, potion doses, enchant scroll quality | |
| Pact | Summoning - the familiar as a second weapon | |
| PvM | Onslaught | Raw damage |
| Cleave | Area damage | |
| Zeal | Staying in the fight | |
| Utility & DR | Aegis | The shield - damage reduction |
| Provisions | Buffs last longer | |
| Spoils | Loot - drop rate, cash, charms |
Points
Talent points arrive as
Olympian Talent Sigil - a stackable, untradeable token. Claim one for a point, claim-all for the stack. Sigils are the first reward on every achievement row and sit in the collection log rewards; they are never sold and never dropped, so a talent build is a record of what you have done, not what you have bought.
Gating and refunds
Tiers are gated by named talents rather than point totals: tier 2 needs the keystone maxed, tier 3 needs both outer tier-2 nodes, and the capstone needs everything else in the tree. Right-click a node to refund a point or reset the tree - a refund that would strand points above a gate is refused, so drop the downstream nodes first.
::ctalents is your class tree - ten nodes per class that level from damage dealt. The account tree is the same on every character regardless of class.
The nine trees are laid out node by node on the Talents guide, and the Pact tree is covered in the Summoning post.
